The January transfer window proved to be a busy one for West Bromwich Albion as no fewer than five new players arrived to help their relegation battle.
Most of those came towards the end of the window, with Mbaye Diagne, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Okay Yokuslu all arriving on loan.
While there has been plenty of information about the first two, with Diagne’s contract details, transfer fee etc. all shared and likewise, for Maitland-Niles, there has been little information on Yokuslu.
La Voz de Galicia have fixed that somewhat today by revealing some of the details of the deal, which has been welcomed with open arms by the Spanish club.
According to them, West Brom are paying all of Yokuslu’s wages during his loan spell with the club and also paid a fee for the transfer as well.
The figures for both of these things aren’t mentioned, but it is stated that Celta Vigo ‘came out well in economic terms’ so we can assume they weren’t insignificant.
It now remains to be seen if the midfielder can help West Brom avoid relegation and prove good value for money, particularly given he didn’t seem too keen on the switch in the first place.
