Sevilla are ‘well placed’ to secure a deal for Manchester United striker Anthony Martial in the January transfer window.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who back up reports from Spain that the Spanish side are looking at the French striker.
Earlier today, we covered a report from Marca that stated Sevilla had made signing Martial a ‘priority’ for January and had even managed to convince him on the move.
That was echoed by RMC Sport journalist Loic Tanzi, who stated that negotiations are ‘progressing’ for Martial to join the La Liga side.
RMC now go into a little more depth, stating that Martial ‘should join a club on loan’ next month, with a departure from Manchester United now almost certain.
His agent Philippe Lamboley recently told Sky Sports that Martial would be leaving Old Trafford as he needs to play and won’t be getting playing time where he is.
That’s naturally sparked speculation about a move away from Manchester United, and it now seems he could end up in Spain.
RMC report that Sevilla have ‘positioned’ themselves for a deal, and the striker is ‘attracted’ by the proposition of a loan in Andalusia until the end of the season.
They are now the club ‘best placed’ to sign the Frenchman, particularly because they can offer him ‘significant’ playing time.
Juventus and Barcelona are also believed to be in the race for his signature, with Martial ‘expected’ to talk to Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick about his future.
