Galatasaray’s management have been left ‘in awe’ of Gabriel Sara after signing him from Norwich City this summer, so much so that they now value him at €40m.
That’s according to Milliyet, who report that the Turkish side have put a ‘jaw-dropping’ figure on the 25-year-old.
Sara moved to Galatasaray in an €18m move in the summer following two years at Norwich City after a move from São Paulo in 2022.
He managed 21 goals and 17 assists in 96 games for the Canaries and has started strongly at Galatasaray too, with two goals and three assists in 11 games in all competitions so far.
Milliyet report that the transfer had been initially questioned because of the high cost but that has now completely changed, with criticism turning into praise.
Sara has ‘impressed everyone’ with his performance in Kadıköy and the club’s management are among those who have been impressed. In fact, they now believe his asking price is skyrocketing and he could be worth €40m before too long if he continues as he has started.
That would be helped by him making it to the Brazilian national team, with the 25-year-old yet to feature for his country but seemingly pushing for a cap thanks to his performances.
It’s all going very well since his arrival from Norwich and everyone in Turkey, at least at Galatasaray, is getting very excited.
