Real Betis have ‘begun talks’ with Nottingham Forest over a potential deal for Álex Moreno this summer.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who explain the La Liga side must first carry out sales before they can sign Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
With Nottingham Forest showing interest in Moreno, his sale could be one of the economic solutions to help Betis with a deal for the Frenchman.
Manuel Pellegrini currently has 29 first team players at his disposal and Los Verdiblancos are working to offload some of them.
This includes the winger turned left-back, who managed five goals and five assists from 45 matches in all competitions last season.
Betis are negotiating with Nottingham Forest for the 29-year-old and requesting a fee in excess of €20m for Moreno. There’s no mention whether the newly promoted Premier League side are ready to meet the demands to sign the Spaniard.
The newspaper explains this is an ‘ongoing operation’, and a deal to take Moreno to Steve Cooper’s side ‘can be completed in these weeks’.
