Last week, La Razón reported Arsenal ‘intend to negotiate’ a deal with Real Betis for Guido Rodríguez.
There’s also been reports in the British press about the Gunners wanting to start negotiations with the La Liga side to sign the midfielder.
Claims made in England have again reached Spain, and Mundo Deportivo are providing a background about the north London club’s interest in the 27-year-old and also Real Betis’ latest stance on the player.
The Premier League side’s scouts have closely followed the Argentina international since he arrived in Spain in the winter 2020 market. Since then, Rodríguez’s market value has increased.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are aware Arsenal are closely monitoring the South American, which is why they have a list of players to choose from, if Rodríguez decides to leave the club.
It’s claimed Real Betis will activate the operation to sign Rodríguez’s substitute, if Arsenal ‘really bet’ on him and place an ‘irrefutable offer’.
According to the report, the Spanish club will only consider selling the midfielder if there’s an ‘irrefutable offer’ on the table.
Time should tell if Arsenal will be able to meet Real Betis’ demands to sign Rodríguez.
