In the past few days, reports from Italy have been claiming that West Ham United are interested in the signing of Udinese winger Gerard Deulofeu.
With the 27-year-old having an exciting season in the Serie A, the Hammers are now labelled as the club who could bring him back to the Premier League.
Now as Calciomercato today shares an update on Deulofeu’s future, West Ham are once again pointed out as those who are making moves to take him out of Udinese.
This time, it’s said the Hammers have ‘initiated the first contacts’ with the Italian club, and the conversation starts from a valuation of €20m.
It’s made clear that West Ham haven’t put their bid on the table yet, as Udinese are said to be waiting for the ‘first formal offer’ from the Premier League side.
Deulofeu has eight goals and two assists in Serie A this season, and at least judging by Calciomercato’s story, the Hammers don’t have a lot of competition to land him, at least for now.
