While there was hope that Erik ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United would allow some of the younger generation to get some game time, that was only ever going to happen if the club started positively.
As we all know, that certainly hasn’t happened, with the Red Devils losing their first two opening games against Brighton and Brentford, which are being followed up by a visit from Liverpool next Monday.
That’s why Manchester United are somewhat panic buying on the market these days, and that’s also why some of the younger players could find themselves loans, like Amad Diallo.
There has already been talk of the former Atalanta starlet heading to Besiktas on loan, and a report we covered on Friday from Turkey suggested there were other interested parties.
One of those, according to RMC Sport in France, are OGC Nice in Ligue 1.
The report states the French club are still looking for a new offensive signing, which is why they have ‘approached’ the Manchester United player.
In fact, Dave Brailsford, sporting director at INEOS, ‘even used a trip to Manchester to recently exchange with the player’.
However, Manchester United ‘do not want to sell the high potential player and are prioritising a loan without an option to buy’, while Nice ‘want to bring him in permanently’.
As well as the Ligue 1 side, RMC Sport claim Sampdoria and Anderlecht are also keen, adding to the growing list of potential destinations for the young forward.
