Manchester United and Leicester City are looking at Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho, states journalist Miguel Rico on the back page of today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.
He claims the Red Devils and Brendan Rodgers’ side have contacted the La Liga winners and the 27-year-old’s agent, Kia Joorabchian.
The Brazil international is currently on loan at Bayern Munich. With the 2019/20 Bundesliga set to finish on June 27th, the Catalan club’s idea is to sell him before the 30th of the same month.
Rico has not taken into account Bayern’s participation in the Champions League, which could resume in August, but there’s every chance Coutinho wouldn’t take part.
If their demands are not met, the Catalan club are ready to sell the player to the club who come closest to meeting his asking price.
It’s interesting that Mundo doesn’t mention the possibility of Coutinho going out on loan with a mandatory purchase option. They only talk about his potential sale this summer.
Apart from Manchester United and Leicester City, the Camp Nou side are aware of Newcastle United’s unofficial interest in the South American.
