According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are showing an interest in Crystal Palace’s Jairo Riedewald as their search for defensive reinforcements continues.

Fotomac today report the Crystal Palace player is an option for the Istanbul club and that they are also continuing their pursuit of Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

The England international was linked with a move to Galatasaray during the last transfer window and their manager Faith Terim remains interested in the player.

Cahill could leave Chelsea in the next window after losing his place in the starting eleven since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri. The Chelsea veteran will be out of contract with the Premier League club next summer.

However, even if the Turkish champions manage to convince Cahill to move to Istanbul, Terim is still keen to bring in Riedewald. The Dutchman is struggling to get games with Crystal Palace and they could use his situation to their advantage.

Riedewald has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season and is contracted to Crystal Place until June 2022.
