Widely considered to be one of the best centre-backs on the market these days, Kalidou Koulibaly is currently a Napoli player, despite attempts from Chelsea to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Ever since the arrival of Antonio Conte, the Senegalese defender has been a recurring target for the Blues, and while claims of big offers being made have appeared regularly, Napoli’s Aurelio De Laurentiis has always been there with a big baseball bat to send them straight back to London.

And, if Il Mattino on Friday are to be believed, that isn’t about to change anytime soon, with claims that indiscretions from London suggest Chelsea are set to return in the summer with a €50m offer to change the Serie A side’s mind.

Well, over in Italy, the newspaper claim Napoli are preparing a message of their own for the Premier League club that reads something along the lines of ‘no way’.

Renewing his contract in Naples back in 2016, the 26-year-old is contract to the Serie A side until 2021, which gives them all the negotiating power they need to be a pain in Antonio Conte’s backside over the coming months.

Koulibaly and his agent have repeated quite a few times things are going well for him in Italy, and while a move might happen down the line, there’s no rush for it to take place in the near future.
