Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a year left on his contract at Arsenal and it’s unclear if he will sign an extension or leave the Emirates in the summer.

The Gabon international continues to attract interest from elsewhere as his situation in north London remains uncertain.

According to Le10 Sport, Paris Saint-Germain remain ‘on alert’ for the Gunners star as they will have to bring in a new forward if the situation with Mauro Icardi isn’t resolved.

PSG took Icardi on loan from Inter Milan and they have until the end of this month to make his transfer permanent.

Although the former Borussia Dortmund man is on the Ligue 1 winners’ radar,  they have not carried out any negotiations for his transfer. However, the possibility of signing the 30-year-old is considered by the Paris club’s leaders for the coming weeks.

Mikel Arteta’s man should cost around €40-50m in the next window and the report further adds the French champions are not the only club looking at the player.

Le10 adds Aubameyang remains the subject of ‘very serious interest’ from Barcelona. Inter are also appreciate his profile, but his salary demands makes it difficult for them to sign him.

Barca’s priority has long been to sign Lautaro Martínez and if they fail to land him, they could then turn their attention towards the Arsenal attacker.
