John Lundstram’s contract at Rangers will run down at the end of this season and Philippe Clement had earlier talked about the Ibrox club’s desire to renew his deal.
That hasn’t happened yet and Trabzonspor are interested in taking the 30-year-old away from Rangers on a free transfer in the summer window.
Four days ago, we covered claims from Turkey that Rangers’ renewal offer hasn’t pleased the midfielder and he’s decided to leave Philippe Clement’s side.
It was also stated the Turkish club have accelerated contacts with the Rangers midfielder, after their technical leaders gave the green signal to go ahead with the transfer.
Fanatik state Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avcı has also given his approval to sign the Englishman in the next window. After having already agreed a deal with Rangers’ Borna Barišić, the Turkish club’s focus is on his Ibrox teammate.
It’s claimed Trabzonspor’s aim is to ‘reach an agreement in principle’ with the Rangers midfielder to join them as a free agent.
Lundstram has managed two goals and seven assists from 49 games for Rangers this season.
