With his contract expiring at the end of the current season, Divock Origi will more than likely find himself a new club for next summer.
The Liverpool forward has found game time hard to come by under Jürgen Klopp this campaign, especially since the arrival of Luis Diaz, and with no opening going forward in the German’s plans, a separation is likely best for everyone.
That’s why Milan are keen to strike a deal with the player to get him to Italy for next season, where he would find himself far more central and important in a team that is also fighting for titles.
There have been many updates on the matter in the past few weeks, with most feeling very optimistic that the Liverpool player will end up at the San Siro next season.
Corriere dello Sport’s edition on Tuesday have a small update on the situation, who claim Milan have an ‘agreement in principle’ with Origi’s agents, ‘who will leave the Reds at the end of his contract’.
In fact, they say the Liverpool player ‘is expected to be one of the first reinforcements in attack for next season and is expected to sign a four-season contract for around €4m/season’.
It seems that the plans of an investment fund from Bahrain to buy Milan aren’t getting in the way of the signing of Origi, and the belief seems to be quite firm that he will leave Anfield for the San Siro in the coming weeks.
