Earlier this week, reports from Portugal had claimed that the agent of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos would be at Porto’s headquarters to discuss a potential move.
Well, sometimes these type of rumours are simply forgotten and left aside, but not in this case.
It had been newspaper A Bola who made the first claims, and now outlet O Jogo comes up to confirm that the meeting regarding the Rangers player has taken place.
Their report says Morelos’ agent Michael Gorman was in the city of Porto to try to ‘approach the negotiations to an ending’.
Morelos is said to be pleased with the chance of joining Porto and that could help the clubs to find the financial agreement. It’s claimed that Rangers started by demanding €16m, and with the Dragons now offering €12m, the add-ons could be crucial for the deal.
The Colombian striker was one of the players who congratulated Fabio Cardoso for completing his move to the Portuguese side yesterday.
That was seen by Porto fans as a sign that he may be on his way as well.
