Nottingham Forest have ‘made an offer’ for Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo as he looks likely to leave the French club this summer.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say Steve Cooper’s side have offered €4m plus €1m in bonuses for the forward. That offer has been ‘accepted’ by the French side.
The newspaper explains that with just a year left on his deal, Bordeaux are keen to move Hwang on this summer and help alleviate their financial problems.
He has offers from the Premier League and France, with reports making it clear that both Wolves and Fulham were keen.
A report yesterday stated there was also a third unnamed Premier League side in the mix and they have now been named as Nottingham Forest.
According to L’Equipe, they’ve made a €4m plus €1m on bonuses offer to Bordeaux, whose directors have accepted it.
They’ve elected to rule out offers from France, notably Brest, and focus on the interest in England.
Nottingham Forest’s bid has now been accepted, pushing them to the front of the list ahead of Wolves and Fulham, the latter of whom have not yet made an offer.
Hwang, meanwhile, ‘wants to discover’ the Premier League, suggesting this move could be wrapped up quickly.
