Barcelona’s clear plan is to sign Leeds United star Raphinha if Ousmane Dembélé ends up leaving the Camp Nou as a free agent.

That’s according to Sport, who state the La Liga side will wait until June 30th for Dembélé to make a decision on their renewal offer.

Xavi Hernández’s side are tired with their winger, but are aware securing his long-term future could be a good economic operation. If he signs a new deal, then the Catalan club can rule out signing another attacker. This can help them save a fortune.

Should Dembélé reject the renewal offer, Barca will launch an effort for the Leeds winger. However, they will not take this step until the Frenchman officially confirms he is leaving the club.

If that were to happen, the Blaugrana are ‘absolutely ready’ to sign Raphinha and expect a ‘calm negotiation’ with the Whites.

The Spanish giants have no doubt that the player will end up at the Camp Nou, and have a final figure of the operation in mind. Sport, however, don’t provide any figures in their report.

Barca have a total agreement with the Brazil international for a five-year deal. The former Rennes man, for his part, is pushing hard to get a move away from Elland Road.

Sources from the Camp Nou have made it clear to the newspaper that Raphinha will move to Barca if Dembélé leaves.
