Tahith Chong to Inter Milan is a story which has been kicking around in the Italian sport media for a while now.

There’s been repeat claims of the player’s representative looking for huge wages and commission, something which was thought to be causing a problem at one stage.

Juventus have also been linked, however, there’s been periodical denials from the Turin media, explaining there’s little interest in signing the Manchester United player.

Given the 20 year old’s contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer, he’ll be available as a free agent, and the Italian media are convinced he won’t be renewing. He’s been given ten senior appearances this season across all competitions, and managed to get an assist on Thursday evening against Club Brugge.

Despite that, Chong hasn’t really shown he’s deserving of more minutes at Manchester United right now, and it’s unlikely he’d get into Inter Milan’s side next season.

There had been previous reports of a loan move to Jiangsu Suning, but Chong has been against this. Calciomercato report the player has given his approval to Inter, so would likely go on loan somewhere else.

A move is ‘close to the finish’, but not yet completed. The youngster would likely go out on loan in Serie A next season, with Verona and Sassuolo mentioned as possibilities.

Calciomercato point out that whilst other clubs are interested in beating Inter to the signing, they don’t have Chong’s approval.
