Croatian media outlets continue to cover Nikola Vlasic and are hopeful the Hajduk Split player will get a move to Everton.
Everything is agreed between Everton and Hajduk, and whilst the Croatian club may have issues with the player’s contract and how the transfer fee will be shared, that’s really not a problem for the Toffees.
What is a problem is getting a work permit.
Despite Croatia being in the EU, because of their succession dates Vlasic will still need a permit. There’s been confidence the 19 year old will get one, even if Everton have to submit an appeal and argue the talent angle… but it’s time which is the enemy.
Croaita’s Index have spoken to Vlasic’s agent, who, whilst sounding a little busy, conveyed his confidence in the deal:
“Today the job should be finished, we are very close. Work permit shouldn’t be a problem.
“We are in the middle of it, but soon we will have time to speak more in detail about this great deal.”
Everyone sounds thrilled on the Croatian side, and now it’s just fingers crossed everything gets done in time.
