Leicester may not have started the season well in the Premier League, with just 7 points from six games, but the Foxes have won both their games so far in the Champions League.

Claudio Ranieri’s team won 1-0 against Porto last night, with the club’s record signing, Islam Slimani, once again on the scoresheet.

Shortly after the game, Ranieri was speaking to Italian media outlet Mediaset Premium (via Calciomercato).

Ranieri insisted it was important to make a comeback after losing to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

He said: “After the defeat against Manchester United it was important to get back on course, at Old Trafford we had a blackout and we conceded three goals from set pieces.”

Against Porto, the Leicester City boss says his team did well to not allow Porto to play according to their plans.

He added: “Today I saw my team, we did well not to let them play the way we wanted, we were a bit lucky but in football you also need luck.”
