Bein Sports’s Besiktas reporter Gurler Akgun has claimed West Bromwich Albion’s Nacer Chadli remains a prime target for the Turkish club.
In recent weeks we’ve reported the Turkish club are showing an interest in the West Brom attacker and that they’re set to make a loan offer for the Belgian international.
Gurler Akgun is quoted as saying: “Chadli is currently a prime target for Besiktas. The Besiktas board are working very hard to secure his signature and talks with West Brom continue. The player is also willing to come to Turkey but there’s nothing official yet. The talks seem positive at this stage but the transfer is far from certain.”
Yesterday we covered reports from the Turkish press that West Brom are looking to get €10m for Chadli, but Besiktas are trying to convince the Championship club over a loan deal.
After Chadli’s performances at the World Cup for Belgium, Besiktas may find it difficult to get a loan deal for the player and it’s likely other clubs will start to take an interest once the competition has ended.
The player is contracted to West Brom until June 2020.
