According to a claim in the Italian media, Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue was offered to AC Milan in the last transfer window.
The Frenchman has struggled to get games under Marco Silva this season, and his future with the Premier League side looks uncertain.
Calciomercato have reported Capoue could have moved to the San Siro last summer, but AC Milan turned down the chance to sign the player.
The Serie A giants were busy in the last window bringing in a number of players, following investment into the club, but they weren’t interested in the Watford star.
It’s also been reported AC Milan were offered Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches before the Portugal midfielder joined Swansea City on loan. Barcelona’s Rafinha was another possibility for the Italian side.
Capoue has started just three Premier League games for Watford this season, and it seems he’s not in the long term plans of Silva. He’s had to watch the last two games from the bench, and with the transfer window set to open in the new year the 29 year old may be tempted to find a new club.
