Stoke City striker Peter Crouch is set for shock talks with newly promoted Goztepe, according to claims in the Turkish press.
The İzmir based club are looking for a target man ahead of next season, and they’ve previously been linked with the likes of Leonard Kweuke and Libor Kozak.
TribunDergi.Com have stated ‘There are strong rumours growing up that Peter Crouch is set to join Goztepe’ and a picture of the Stoke City player’s alleged boarding pass to Izmir has been revealed on Twitter.
A Goztepe fan, who works at Pegasus Airlines, has claimed to have revealed the flight details of the 36-year-old striker.
According to the boarding details the Stoke City player would arrive in İzmir on Thursday.
There’s no doubt Crouch could be a decent addition to Goztepe’s squad, but the Turkish media may be getting ahead of themselves with the transfer window approaching.
Crouch has a year left on his Stoke City contract and is currently enjoying his holidays. Perhaps he’s going to İzmir to jump on a Turkish gulet.
