According to a claim in the Swedish media, Leeds United attacker Marcus Antonsson has turned down the chance sign for Brescia.
Earlier today we covered reports from Italy that the 27 year old was on the verge of joining the Serie B side, and a possible reunion with former Leeds United chief Massimo Cellino.
Fotbol Direkt have reported on the latest developments with regards to Antonsson’s proposed move to Italy and they claim the Swede has returned to Leeds United as Brescia aren’t prepared to meet his demands.
The Leeds United player currently earns around £65k a month, according to the report, but Brescia have refused to match this.
There is now uncertainty over Antonsson’s future after suggestions he’s not in the long term plans of Marcelo Bielsa.
The Swede has been linked with a return to his home country but, like with Brescia, it’s unlikely any clubs would be able to match his current salary.
