That Manchester United want a new centre-back isn’t anything new, nor is their interest in Inter’s Milan Skriniar.
The Slovakia international has quickly become one of the more exciting young but experienced defenders in Europe, shining even prior to his move to Luciano Spalletti’s side when he was at Sampdoria.
Reports of ‘offers’ from Manchester United have been published in the past, yet nothing official has ever been revealed, with certain sources stating the money came from the other club in the city.
Back in September, Calciomercato claimed the Red Devils were the most ‘fearsome’ club for Inter, believing they were prepared to offer €60-65m for his services.
Fast forward to early November, and the same website maintain their stance, claiming Manchester United, as well as City, have made approaches and ‘verbal offers’ to Inter.
Barcelona are also thrown in the mix, and it seems that, for now, the Serie A side have yet to respond, seeing as they’re preoccupied elsewhere, trying to get him to sign a new deal and all that.
The timing isn’t great by Manchester United and co., which Calciomercato point out, but that’s probably part of their plan.
