Fotomac journalist Cevdet Unuvar has claimed Juventus are the latest club showing an interest in Basaksehir attacker Cengiz Under. The youngster has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.
Unuvar has reported Juventus are currently preparing a bid for Under, which’ll be worth around €15m, including add-ons. The 19-year-old impressed for the Turkish club last season, and has been linked with a move to England this summer, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United credited with interest.
Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci last month said they were expecting a bid from Tottenham, even though he wanted the youngster to remain in Turkey. There were also been claims a few weeks ago Tottenham had tabled a bid for Under, and a deal was close. but this seemed premature.
Under was one of the standout players for Basaksehir during their title challenge, and his performances earned him a call up to the Turkish national team. His club would like to keep hold of him for at least one more season, but it’s likely they will be pressured by some major clubs before the deadline.
Will Tottenham’s offer ever arrive? If Basaksehir are to be pressured to sell then they’d hope it does, with more clubs interested the price should go up.
