Maybe, just maybe, Wolverhampton Wanderers have not been left out of the race for the Benfica midfielder Rafa Silva.

Wolves’ interest had been reported by the Portuguese press in December, with the local newspapers looking very confident that a loan deal with a permanent option could be found.

But things have gone quite cold after that, with the rumour being forgotten, and the player even being linked to other English sides such as Everton and Leicester City.

Now today, newspaper O Jogo brings an update on Rafa Silva’s situation, this time claiming that there are actually many English destinations which the player could be going to in January.

It’s said that there are ‘several’ English sides who have made ‘concrete offers’ for the midfielder recently.

The outlet claims that the player could move either on a permanent move or a loan, as long as the offer satisfies him and Benfica, but no figures are mentioned.

The interesting thing is that they don’t know who the English clubs are, and as they don’t say they are Premier League sides, maybe Wolves are in the mix once again.
