Last weekend, we covered a story from newspaper Sport making Gareth Bale’s departure from Real Madrid sound pretty likely.

The report claimed the player keeps ‘flirting’ with Manchester United, and with the future of the Galacticos being ‘full of doubts’, a move in the summer would be on the books.

But it’s no secret that the Catalan and the Madrid media will always disagree with each other, and AS brings a completely different article.

They write that Gareth Bale has no intention to leave Real Madrid, with his staff insisting that he has a contract until 2022 and won’t force a way out before that. For the player to go, it’s the club’s board that should put him on the market.

But that’s exactly the club’s idea. They know he isn’t a regular starter anymore, so a sale wouldn’t be bad. They are even said to be afraid that keeping Bale on the bench in an year which he won’t play the World Cup will drop his price even more.

Manchester United haven’t got a mention this time, even though we know that every time Bale is linked to a move, the Red Devils’ name are involved.

Maybe a couple of more days and José Mourinho’s interest in Bale gets a page in AS.
