Beşiktaş have identified West Ham United’s Arthur Masuaku as a target to bolster their left-back position, after allowing Rıdvan Yılmaz to seal a switch to Rangers.
According to Fanatik, the Turkish club have reached an agreement with the 26-year-old. The Süper Lig side have also agreed a deal with the Hammers over a loan move for the defender.
Beşiktaş will include a purchase option as a part of the agreement with West Ham.
With an agreement in place between all the parties involved, the DR Congo international is ‘expected to come to Istanbul this week’ to sign a contract with Beşiktaş.
Prior to deciding to making an approach for the West Ham player, they looked at Mohanad Jeahze. He had asked his club Hammarby IF to leave him out of the squad so that he can join the Black Eagles.
Fanatik explain Jeahze is ‘shocked’ that Beşiktaş have an agreement with David Moyes’ man.
The fullback has lost prominence at West Ham, making 21 appearances in all competitions last season, which included only six starts in the league. Masuaku will be hoping his situation will improve at Beşiktaş during the 2022/23 season.
