West Ham United are getting linked to River Plate winger Pablo Solari.

The news come from Argentine outlet El Crack Deportivo, who claims the Hammers are ‘following the steps’ of the 22-year-old.

There’s no information on whether West Ham have already opened talks to get Solari signed, with the story just highlighting that River Plate ‘plan to make millions’ from selling him to Europe.

The winger has just been called up by the national team at U23 level, and that’s certainly a good platform for West Ham to keep an eye on him.

Playing for River Plate this season, Solari has ten goals and ten assists in 34 appearances, and has been one of their big stars, especially in their Copa Libertadores campaign, which ended in the round-of-16.

The winger is valued by Transfermarkt at €7m, and that’s pretty much the average price that Argentine clubs normally sell their players for.

Solari is a teammate of Manuel Lanzini, who left West Ham this summer and joined River Plate for free.

Since this story still hasn’t been picked up by big outlets in Argentina, we better wait and see whether or not anything more comes from it before getting overly excited about it.
