It seems that even West Bromwich Albion have joined the race for Brazilian star Everton Cebolinha.
According to Italian website Area Napoli, the Championship side have set him as a target in case of promotion to the Premier League this season.
The problem is that the player is said not to be keen on the transfer, because even though he’s open to a Premier League move, he’s looking for clubs who have bigger aspirations than the Baggies.
It’s claimed that Grêmio saw ‘with good eyes’ a bid of €25m from West Brom, but the Brazil international is still to be convinced of a move.
Everton Cebolinha has been drawing the interest from European sides for nearly five years now, but no one has managed to convince Grêmio to sell him as of yet.
Area Napoli says the battle for him includes the likes of Everton, Newcastle, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen, but apart from West Brom’s offer, Grêmio are still to receive other convincing bids for the sale.
