Late last week, we covered a story from Italy regarding Tottenham and their interest in Gleison Bremer.
The Brazilian defender is currently in his home country for his holiday, but it was said that once he came back, he was hoping that a deal with a new club could be found.
Inter have long been favourites to sign the centre-back, but Tottenham have re-appeared of late, with it clear that Antonio Conte wants depth in his squad ahead of a season that will include Champions League football.
In fact, Sportmediaset in Italy, per their journalist Claudio Raimondi, relayed by Inter-News, claim that Torino, where Bremer is currently contracted, ‘are betting strongly’ on Spurs to give them the extra money they want.
Despite the ‘general agreement’ in place between the player and Inter, ‘there is no agreement between the two clubs’, thus leaving the door open for Tottenham.
Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, is ‘waiting for a match’ between the Serie A side and Spurs, and is ‘betting all his chips’ on the Premier League club coming forward.
In fact, the belief is Tottenham ‘will soon present an offer to Torino’.
Despite that, Bremer would favour a move to Inter if he can get it, perhaps keen to remain in Italy.
