According to a claim in the Turkish media., Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincnet Janssen was proposed to Galatasaray in the last transfer window.

The Netherlands international was loaned to Fenerbahce last season and was also linked with a return to the Yellow Canaries in the summer.

Haberturk today report Janssen could have headed back to the Super Lig during the last window with the possibility of a transfer to Galatasaray. The Turkish champions sold last season’s top scorer Bafetimbi Gomis, Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, and the Tottenham player was an option to replace him.

However, a deal never materialised between Tottenham and Galatasaray despite claims the Dutchman was keen on a return to Istanbul. The attacker believes he had unfinished business in Turkey following his injury woes whilst at Fenerbache, say Haberturk.

Janssen played just a handful of games for Fenerbahce after picking up an injury last December and in August he needed to have a minor operation on his foot.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Janssen looks to be surplus to requirements and will need to leave sooner or later.
