It seems that the Italian press won’t forget about this Mauricio Pochettino to Barcelona story.

Just so you don’t get caught by surprise, Gazzetta Dello Sport were the first to publish it today, saying the Tottenham Hotspur boss would be the Catalan side’s priority to replace Luis Enrique.

Then Tutto Mercato Web came up with an exclusive claiming that Barça would have scheduled a meeting with the Argentine manager for the next 48 hours.

Now the website has another exclusive this evening, this time saying Tottenham are already considering new managers in the case that Pochettino leaves.

The names would be Roma’s Luciano Spaletti, Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri, Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri and the former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who’s currently unattached.

We can’t even say how ridiculous this is getting. First because we, just like most of the European outlets, are not convinced Barcelona are going for Pochettino as their number one target. Second because there’s no sense for Tottenham to have such list of exclusively Italian managers.

But as we’re sure Tutto Mercato Web have their very good sources feeding them, let’s see what happens in the next few days.
