Fotospor report Sheffield United made a €13m offer for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir during the last transfer window.

However, it’s claimed the Trabzonspor board swiftly rejected the offer as they value the player in the region of €30m.

Chris Wilder’s side could be on the hunt for a goalkeeper next summer, depending on Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson’s future.

Fotospor expects the Blades will return for Cakir in the summer if Henderson doesn’t remain with the Yorkshire club.

Along with Sheffield United, it’s reported fellow Premier League sides Everton and Southampton are monitoring the situation with the 23 year old. Ligue 1 club Marseille are also said to be interested in Cakir.

For the past few months there’s been reports coming out of Turkey that Cakir could be heading to England during the next window. A number of clubs have been linked with the Turkey international, with reports of offers.

Several of the stories haven’t made much sense, with Liverpool thrown in there for drama, but Sheffield United could be a good option, depending on the Henderson situation.

Cakir’s contract with Trabzonspor will expire at the end of June 2023.
