Gareth Bale has an offer from Chelsea to join the club next summer in a €60m deal, according to El Desmarque.

The forward was expected to leave Real Madrid this summer, with Zinedine Zidane making it clear he wanted to be rid of the Welshman as part of his rebuild.

That never happened, for various reasons, and despite Bale regularly featuring this season, his future at the club is far from sorted.

Indeed, Bale is seemingly determined to find a way out of Madrid at some point given the treatment he’s received.

El Desmarque say as much, with the former Tottenham man said to feel ‘more unprotected than ever’ at the club.

He knows he would still be welcome in the Premier League, although he may have to lower his wage demands from the €15m a year he currently receives, and Chelsea could be his next destination.

The newspaper says he has an offer from Chelsea that would see them pay €60m to make a move happen.

That would give Madrid back a vast majority of the money they paid for Bale six years ago, but the La Liga giants have another idea for the Welshman.

Manager Zinedine Zidane wants to add a central midfielder to his team, and while he still dreams of signing Paul Pogba, he would be willing to accept N’Golo Kanté instead.

Therefore, Madrid’s idea is to offer Chelsea €70m plus Bale to try and sign the French midfielder next summer.

Chelsea’s stance on that potential offer is not mentioned, but it is said that Kanté would not see a move to La Liga with ‘bad eyes’.

On the face of it, it seems unlikely they’d either want Bale or be willing to part with Kanté but if the latter makes it clear he wants the move, perhaps they would be open to such a deal.
