Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech is a target for AC Milan and Napoli this summer after asking to be sold if there are not more opportunities for him next season.
That’s according to the journalists at Radio CRC, relayed by Area Napoli, who say the former could have an advantage over their rivals.
Ziyech arrived at Chelsea last summer in a big-money move from Ajax, having established himself a star man for the Dutch giants in both the Eredivisie and Champions League.
However, he struggled for form in his first season in England, failing to be the star man under both Frank Lampard and his replacement Thomas Tuchel.
That has led to rumours he could leave Chelsea this summer, especially given they are set for another big transfer window after winning the Champions League.
Ziyech is likely to have numerous suitors if he does decide to move on, and Radio CRC say there are two waiting in Italy.
“The new name, however, is Hakim Ziyech: the former Ajax player has asked Chelsea for a bigger role or to be sold.
“He has unquestionable technical value and would be a great addition, assuming Hirving Lozano, who is wanted by Real Madrid, leaves.
“Ziyech is a strong candidate for AC Milan, who have the Champions League on their side: the boy wants to play at the highest level.”
