As far as young managers go these days, there is one man, other than Julian Nagelsmann, on a lot of fans’ wishlist, and seemingly on Tottenham’s as well: Will Still.
The 30-year-old is currently in charge of Stade de Reims in France, where he has impressed the entire world with his work, and that extends to Fabio Paratici.
That’s according to Sport Italia, who claim on Wednesday that the Tottenham director of football and the young manager held a ‘meeting’ in Switzerland ‘in recent days’.
The reason for said encounter isn’t revealed, but with Spurs currently managerless after dismissing Antonio Conte, there’s little other reason for these two men to have a cup of coffee in a foreign country.
There’s also a question that needs to be asked about whether or not Paratici is technically allowed to hold such a meeting considering the ban currently in place on his work and him temporarily stepping back from his duties, but perhaps, if questioned, he could pass it off as just two friends accidentally bumping into each other and having a chat.
Either way, the belief is that Still is now ‘a candidate’ to take over at Tottenham next season, and that’s something that could excite the vast majority of the fanbase in north London.
