It seems that Matteo Darmian won’t be forgotten in Italy so soon.
The Manchester United fullback has been linked to Serie A clubs in the past two transfer windows, and as the end of the season approaches, it’s time to see his name in the news again.
Website Calcio Mercato has a story today detailing the four right-backs Juventus would consider signing in case Daniel Alves leaves for China next summer.
Stephan Lichtsteiner has recently signed a renewal that only runs until 2018, so the Old Lady should be acquiring a younger replacement this time.
Besides Darmian, Calcio Mercato puts Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko, Real Madrid’s Danilo and Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio all on the list.
Especially talking about the Manchester United player, the website says he’s still to convince José Mourinho and could be a concrete option. He would be available for only €10m.
Darmian has proven himself with both Torino and the Italian national team, so it’s not unlikely that Juventus would go for him. But Manchester United have clearly changed their selling policies recently, and considering that Darmian was signed for €18m in 2015, we find it hard to believe José Mourinho would let him leave for only €10m now. Especially to such a big club.
