We’ve already lost count of how many stories on Moises Caicedo we’ve seen in the Ecuadorian media today, and the news continues to show up.
The latest claims now come from journalist Marco López Castillo, who insists that Manchester United are close to signing the Independiente Del Valle midfielder.
He now says that an agreement for an €8.2m move was made ‘before New Year’s Eve’. The work permit is said to be nearly done, and the clubs are now only discussing the percentage the Ecuadorian side will get from a future sale.
Castillo says his information comes ‘via Futbol Bohemio’, who are a local sports news outlet, although nothing can be found on their Twitter or their Youtube channel.
As we said above, there have been many updates on Caicedo’s situation, with part of the local media claiming the move is nearly done, and others claiming there isn’t an agreement yet.
On an official stance, Independiente Del Valle general manager Santiago Morales turned down the Manchester United rumours today, saying there hasn’t been any communications between the clubs.
