It appears that after the signing of Tyrell Malacia, Manchester United are getting closer to getting a second player from the Eredivisie.
That man is Lisandro Martínez, with a claim on Wednesday from journalist Rudy Galetti that the Argentine moving to Old Trafford ‘is just a matter of time’.
Manchester United have been linked with the Ajax player, whom Erik ten Hag knows like the back of his hand, and efforts were reportedly made to try and move him to the north of England.
Galetti makes it clear those are on the right track, and all that’s left to be done is the ‘final paperwork’, meaning that ‘unless sensational twists’ happen, the ‘done deal is expected soon’.
🚨⏳ Lisandro #Martinez from #Ajax to #MUFC is just a matter of time. 🤝

If this were to go through, it’s clear, much like Malacia, that this would be a Ten Hag request, who will want players who can fit in his philosophy at Manchester United.
We’ll see if anything else on this comes to light in the next few hours, especially in Holland, but there’s no denying this is looking rather promising for fans of the Red Devils.
