Earlier on Wednesday, we reported a claim from Corriere dello Sport that Federico Pastorello, Romelu Lukaku’s agent, would be in England to hold talks with Manchester United about his client’s exit.

The original belief was that he would fly to Manchester, but recent reports suggest he’ll head to London instead.

Either way, he’ll be on this side of the Channel on Wednesday, and he could be joined by Lukaku himself.

The player has been training with his former club Anderlecht for the past two days, surprising United by not reporting back to Carrington on Tuesday, but Corriere dello Sport are now claiming he could head back to London to take part in the talks with his agent.

Perhaps he feels his presence will help Ed Woodward accept the offer from Inter Pastorello is bringing with him, but at €64m + €5m, he will have to do a lot of pleading, seeing as the Premier League side have set their bar at £75m and seem reluctant to move it.

This could get juicy over the next 24 hours, that’s for sure.
