Sabah have reported on some of Trabzonspor’s academy graduates and the offers which have come for them.
One of the players mentioned in the article was Ugurcan Cakir, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past few months.
There have been claims the Premier League side have been sending scouts to Turkey to get a lowdown on the 23 year old.
The Turkish newspaper claim Karadeniz Firtinasi have rejected a €24m bid from Liverpool for the young goalkeeper as they are determined to keep him in their squad until the end of the season. They find themselves in the mix for the Super Lig title and subsequently they don’t want to lose any key players before today’s transfer deadline.
However, Sabah also report the Turkish club are getting ready for a massive summer sale, and he could be one of the players that will leave.
Liverpool don’t need a goalkeeper, so there’s a chance the Reds are being used to hype the player.
Cakir has made 25 appearances for Trabzonspor in all competitions this season and is under contract with the club until June 2024.
