Greek website SDNA.Gr claim Leo Bonatini’s transfer to PAOK has collapsed because of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ new demands over the deal.
Yesterday we covered reports from Greece that the Wolves striker was on the verge of joining PAOK after the Greek club sold Aleksandar Prijovic to Al Ittihad earlier this month.
Wolves were looking to get €1m to loan Bonatini for six months, with a mandatory buyout clause of €4m in the summer.
However, Wolves have insisted PAOK give them 40 percent of his next sale, which is one of the reasons the Greek league leaders have pulled out of a deal.
SDNA report PAOK will not agree on these terms and the ball is now back in Wolves’ court over whether they’ll accept the initial terms.
The Greek giants are now reportedly in talks to sign Jagiellonia striker Karol Swiderski to bolster their squad.
Bonatini has hardly figured for the Premier League side this season following their promotion from the Championship last season.
A source close to the possible move last week told Sport Witness that negotiations weren’t very advanced at that stage, and the player’s agent hadn’t been brought into talks.
