According to a claim in the Turkish media, Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani will not be considered for selection by the Fenerbahce coaching staff for the remainder of the season.
The Algeria international joined he Turkish side on loan last summer but has struggled to make an impact during his time in Istanbul.
Fanatik have reported on the latest developments over Slimani’s situation at Fenerbahce and they say the Leicester City player is no longer involved with teamwork drills in training.
It’s claimed despite being one of the highest earners at the club he will play no further part in the Yellow Canaries’ season and will return to England in the summer.
Much was expected of the forward when he signed for the Istanbul club at the start of the season, but he’s scored just one league goal in his time in Turkey. The player hasn’t been selected in the Super Lig club’s last two match day squads.
Fenerbahce reportedly wanted to send him back to Leicester City in the last transfer window and also tried to offload him to other clubs.
There’s a possibility the situation could change again, despite the absolute claims coming from Turkey.
