TRT Spor journalist Erbatur Ergenekon claims Fulham want to sign Ryan Babel after their promotion to the Premier League.

The West London club beat Brentford in the Championship playoff final earlier this week, and they’re already working to strengthen their squad.

According to TRT Spor’s Ergenekon, as covered by Inandik Biz Sizlere, Fulham are looking to resign Babel, following his brief spell with them.

Fulham signed Babel from Besiktas, and the former Liverpool attacker scored five goals in 16 appearances. However, his performances weren’t enough to keep them in the Premier League and he didn’t extend his contract with the English side.

Babel went on to sign for Galatasaray last summer, but his spell in Turkey hasn’t gone to plan. Subsequently he was loaned out to Dutch club Ajax for the second half of the season, and has now returned to Istanbul.

With the Super Lig club failing to qualify for Europe they may look to offload some of their high earners, which could include Babel.

The 33 year old still has two years left on his current Gala contract.
