Swiss manager Adi Hütter will take charge of Crystal Palace in the summer, once Roy Hodgson steps down from his temporary role.
That’s according to Kurier, relayed by Fussball Transfers, who say the former Borussia Mönchengladbach coach is set to become Patrick Vieira’s permanent replacement at Selhurst Park.
According to their information, Crystal Palace have ‘already found’ a new coach in the form of Hütter and he is set to take charge at the end of the season.
Plans are already in place for him to make the move to England, with Klaus Schmidt, currently in charge of SCR Altach, set to join the 53-year-old as his assistant manager.
The newspaper makes no mention of what type of deal Hütter has signed with Crystal Palace, or, crucially, how long it will run, just that one is in place for him to make the move in the coming months.
Earlier this month he had hinted that he would be on the way to the Premier League, telling Kicker : “My big goal is the Premier League, we’re working on that. There may be one or the other option.”
It appears that has now been finalised, with Crystal Palace moving quickly to secure his signature and make him their new permanent manager when Hodgson steps down again at the end of this campaign.
