Fotospor report Super Lig side Trabzonspor are targeting Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate.
The Turkish club are in the market to sign a central midfielder after parting ways with Stoke City’s Badou Ndiaye. Club captain Jose Sosa could also leave the Super Lig side in this window, so signing a midfielder this summer has become a priority for the Karadeniz Firtinasi.
It’s reported Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has held talks with Kouyate’s agent Ediz Balkan, and the representative has offered his client to them. Roy Hodgson is reportedly looking for a younger midfielder for that position next season and will allow Kouyate to leave.
The Turkish club’s scouting team are currently analysing Kouyate’s performances and based on the report they could make a loan offer to the south London club.
The 30 year old made 35 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace last season, scoring one goal. His contract at Selhurst Park will expire at the end of June 2022.
