Fanatik report Galatasaray are making progress with their efforts to sign Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma on a temporary basis.

The Colombian midfielder is expected to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship, and previous reports from the Turkish press said Lerma is an option for the Super Lig side.

It’s claimed Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Lerma over personal terms, but their first loan bid was rejected by Bournemouth. However, they will knock on their door again and Fanatik report this time their chances of a deal will be better.

Bournemouth have yet to receive any serious offers for the permanent sale of the 25 year old, and Fanatik say they might be tempted to accept Galatasaray’s loan offer.

According to the Turkish newspaper, his compatriot Radamel Falcao has told him a move to Galatasaray would be a good choice.

The former Levante midfielder, who made 33 appearances for Bournemouth last season, is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until June 2023.
