Turkish website Asist Analiz report Trabzonspor are advancing in talks to sign Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The Egyptian international spent last season on loan at fellow Super Lig club Besiktas and has been heavily linked with a move to Trabzonspor in recent weeks.
It’s reported their manager Eddie Newton is keen to add Elneny to his squad for next season, and both clubs are in talks over a loan deal. The Turkish side recently lost Badou Ndiaye when he retuned to Stoke City after his loan deal expired.
Asist Analiz claim Trabzonspor have already agreed personal terms with the Arsenal player and the 28 year old will reportedly earn €1.5m for one season.
It seems the determining factor with this transfer will be Arsenal’s asking price for a season-long loan deal, and the Turkish website report Trabzonspor are happy to negotiate to reduce the price.
The midfielder is contracted to Arsenal until June 2022, yet it seems he doesn’t have a future at the Emirates.
