For the past couple of days, the Italian media has been full of stories about Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

Since it’s been reported in England and Germany that the Blues are having difficulty to extend the player’s contract and could lose him for free at the end of the season, that’s seen as an opportunity for Serie A sides who’ve been interested in him.

However, as Sport Mediaset comes up with an update on Rudiger’s situation, they claim the 28-year-old could actually be on his way to France.

The outlet writes Chelsea player is ‘wanted’ by Paris Saint Germain, who’d like to sign him for free, continuing with a plan which suited them pretty well this summer.

Sport Mediaset adds that in case Rudiger really leaves the Stamford Bridge, then Chelsea would be back on chasing Jules Kounde.

Following the long chase for the Sevilla defender in the summer, the Blues would now have another reason to try his signing.

The Stamford Bridge side’s attempt to sign the Frenchman had already been confirmed by his club in August, with director Monchi saying the offer simply wasn’t good enough.
